Should you try dating apps? Well, dating apps can be a mixed bag. It’s a good way to meet new people and to get some experience talking to women in the Philippines. But one of the big problems is that the dating apps can be filled with women (and men) who have bad intentions.
Many of the women on the dating apps are just looking for relationship. They want to talk to somebody meet somebody new. Most of them are very interested in meeting foreigners Unfortunately, dating apps also attract a lot of people you should avoid, like scammers, prostitutes and people who misidentify themselves. You also must be careful about underage users, because sometimes younger women will sneak onto the apps as well. If anyone ever identifies themselves as being under the age of 18 block them immediately

What are you looking for?
The question, what are you looking for, is very common when you’re chatting with the Filipino on a dating app. Basically, they want to know if you’re serious and you’re looking for a long term relationship, if you’re just looking for someone to meet for dating, or if you’re interested only in a physical relationship. Many of the women who will inhabit the dating apps are looking for sugar daddies or financial support or want to sell webcam photos or naked pictures. If you’re looking for something like that, of course, that’s up to you. And between you and the woman.
When you start to chat with women on any dating app, eventually, if things go well, you’ll have to move to a different chatting application Typically, the most commonly used chatting apps are WhatsApp. Facebook Messenger, Instagram, and Telegram. Occasionally someone has asked me about Viber as well. WhatsApp may be the best choice because it protects your privacy in general. Facebook Messenger is probably the worst choice, especially if you have an opened Facebook account because whoever you’re chatting will be able to see all of your friends and family and your contacts. If they are misrepresenting themselves or they have want to do you harm, they’ll have access to your actual relationships and have the ability to insert themselves and impact your life in some real way. So I would avoid sharing my Facebook or friending anyone who I met on a dating app until I had known her for quite some time. WhatsApp is fairly safe. Aside from the fact that you do have to use a real phone number to use Whatsapp. I recommend setting up a Google of voice account and use that Google Voice phone number as WhatsApp phone number so that no one who has my WhatsApp number actually has access to your true cell phone number. The Google voice accounts can also be used to set up your Viber or Telegram accounts. I know some people use Snapchat as well, but typically I haven’t been asked by Filipinos about Snapchat, and I don’t really use it or know much about it.
So a few words of warning right up front. Don’t give out personal information that someone could use to track you down. Don’t. talk too much about money. Don’t offer to send money. Don’t ask for naked pics. Don’t chat anyone under the age of 18 years old Don’t make any promises to someone that you don’t intend to keep. And if you’re not interested in transsexuals, just be aware that the dating apps do have a lot of people who would identify as trans or homosexual who may be listed as female in the dating apps. Due to filters or other photography techniques, the true nature of their gender may be obscured. Over time, you’ll get better at spotting these people out based on their pictures. But at first, many of these women seem very attractive and are hard to spot. I’ve had a few dates and meetings with people who, upon first meeting, it was apparent that they had misrepresented themselves in some way. With that said, it’s not so unusual to ask someone you’re chatting on a dating app, if they are born a female, even if you’ve only chatted with them for a couple of days. Many times, you’ll find out that they aren’t. Typically, they won’t lie at that point, but occasionally they might so always just be on the lookout that someone is not congruent in their behavior and what they’re saying to you and just be very careful about exposing yourself to any kind of danger.
Your experience in the Philippines can be really, really wonderful once you’ve met somebody and chatted her for some period of time. Hopefully you will have some video calls and you can start. And you can start to build a nice relationship.
